I can export a new file back to iCloud Drive, and when I do that I see the new version almost instantly appears in the Finder app on my iMac - but I'd prefer to change the "old" one. There's now a newer fully annotated version in GoodReader, and I can't find a way to sync that version back.
How do I sync the revised annotated PDFs back from GoodReader into iCloud Drive, and back to my iMac? I succeeded in doing this once - I've got a half-annotated version.
What's the "iCloud" folder for in GoodReader? It looks like it should have, well, iCloud Drive files - but it's empty. In the iCloud Drive app, if I choose the share icon, the only GoodReader option I see is "Copy to GoodReader", which I assume makes a new copy - and I don't want to do that. At the moment I'm doing the "Open file" option because I don't want to deal with multiple copies of a PDF, but I'm not sure if that's the best approach. What's a recommended way to open a PDF in GoodReader? In the GoodReader App, I can choose "Import", and then "Import (copy) from iCloud Drive" or "Open file from iCloud Drive". I guess I'm doing something wrong, because so far I'm only able to make new revised files, rather than sync and update the already existing files - which will quickly lead to a bewildering number of documents.
The main PDF reader I use on my iPad is GoodReader. In the past I've used SugarSync for this, but I'm trying to move to Apple's iCloud. I'm trying to figure out how to keep annotated PDFs (mainly academic articles) synchronized between an iPad and my iMac.
